FundRazeTerms of Use

The short version: FundRaze is a best-effort spam filter, provided as-is. It will sometimes miss a spam text and sometimes send a real one to Junk, so check your Junk list for anything important. We're not affiliated with any campaign, party, or Apple, and we're not responsible for messages you miss or act on.
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of the FundRaze iPhone app (the "App") and the website at fundraze.app (the "Site"), provided by the FundRaze developer ("FundRaze," "we," "us"). By downloading or using the App or the Site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use them.
2. What FundRaze does, and doesn't do
- FundRaze uses automated rules and an on-device model to guess whether a text from an unknown sender is political fundraising, campaign messaging, or a scam, and asks iOS to put likely matches in the Junk list of Apple's Messages app.
- It is not perfect. It may filter messages you wanted (for example, a real alert from a bank, school, doctor, or election office) and may miss messages you didn't want. Filtered messages are moved to Junk, not deleted, and you are responsible for checking Junk for anything important.
- FundRaze is not a security, fraud-prevention, or emergency service. Do not rely on it to protect you from fraud, scams, or identity theft, or to deliver time-sensitive or emergency information.
- Whether FundRaze receives a message at all depends on iOS, your carrier, and your settings, which we don't control.
3. Nonpartisan and independent
FundRaze filters political messages regardless of party, candidate, or cause. It does not endorse or oppose any candidate, party, or position. Names of public figures, organizations, and companies are used only to recognize messages that mention them and do not imply any affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement. FundRaze is not affiliated with Apple Inc., any wireless carrier, campaign, party, or PAC.
4. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's Usage Rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the App, or use it in violation of any law. Your use of the App downloaded from the App Store is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement; if anything conflicts, these Terms apply to the extent allowed.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the words and settings you add to the App, for reviewing your Junk list, and for any decisions you make based on what the App does or doesn't filter. Don't use the App or Site to break the law or to interfere with anyone else's use.
6. Intellectual property
The App, the Site, the FundRaze name and logo, and their content belong to FundRaze and are protected by law. These Terms don't give you any rights to them except the license above. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their owners.
7. Feedback
If you send ideas, suggestions, or sample messages, you allow us to use them to improve FundRaze without obligation to you. Please don't send messages containing other people's private information.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The App and Site are provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or will filter or deliver any particular message. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of this may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FundRaze and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, messages, opportunities, money, or profits, arising from or related to the App or Site, including messages that are filtered, missed, delayed, or acted upon, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App or Site will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the App or US $10. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
10. Indemnity
To the extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FundRaze and its developer from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the App or Site or your violation of these Terms.
11. Apple
These Terms are between you and FundRaze, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the App (including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual-property claims). If the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of any purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or on any U.S. government list of prohibited parties.
12. Changes and termination
We may update the App, the Site, or these Terms, or stop offering them, at any time. If we change these Terms, we'll update this page and its effective date; continuing to use the App or Site afterward means you accept the changes. You can stop using FundRaze at any time by deleting the App.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, except where your local law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
